Connecting multiple monitors to my new M2 MacBook Air

I currently have to monitors connected via HDMI to two separate USB-C adapters. One is an Anker with additional USB and USB-C inputs and the other is an Apple HDMI to USB-C adapter. On my older Macbook Air both monitors appear when plugged into the two USB-C ports on the laptop, but this new laptop only shows one.
