Transferring data from imac to new mac mini
Since my mouse is connected to my imac, how do I turn wifi on my new mac mini?

You can not have a wireless keyboard and mouse connected up to both at the same time.
Dig out, barrow, buy a USB keyboard and mouse to setup and migrate to the new Mac mini.
FWIW the easiest and fastest way to migrate, is to use your old iMac's Time Machine backup.
