Mac OS X How to creat a simple data entry form

Apparently in the iOS version of Numbers, one can 'easily' create a form with a pull down from the "+" of the spreadsheet.

But on Mac OS X, there is no 'form' option, just create 'sheet' option.

Is this another example of the superior thinking of Apple, that Numbers doesn't have feature Windows Excel has had for at least 20 years or more. Heck it was probably in VisiCalc, but that was before the enlightened producers of Mac OS X arrived.

I use Excel. I'm not sure what you are referring to here.

A "form" in Numbers for iOS/iPadOS is useful on the smaller screen. But on the Mac you've got a bigger screen and can just input the data directly.

If you are referring to a drop-down in Excel then Numbers has a close equivalent. You set the Data Format for the cells to Pop-Up Menu:
