Ok, Siri - will not recognize my voice

I set up SIri and it recognized my "oye, siri" no problems. Then, it just quit. Maybe after the update to Ventura. At any rate, I have done ALL the troubleshooting many times over, to no avail. Apple support just tells you to troubleshoot, so no help there.

Is there a solution to this issue? I find it annoying to spend a grand for a device that LOSES features with updates.

Thanks.

Hello, thanks for your reply. Yes, I did all the troubleshooting recommended by Apple many times, verified microphone is on, etc.¡. Siri just won't recognize my voice. When I set it up, it was a breeze. Hopefully a future update will correct the issue. I used Siri a lot to practice Spanish.

Cheers 🥂

So did you trouble shoot to see where the issue might lay...?

We all know how much Macs cost.

You can always wait for the next point update and see if the function returns to your user account.

The current stable release of Ventura including bug fixes, security updates is macOS Ventura 13.2.1

To trouble shoot further you can:

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

—A SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Takes a bit longer to get to the login screen, does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, font cache, etc., third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled.

Login and test. Reboot  as normal and test.  Caches get rebuilt automatically.

a  reboot will put it back to normal mode.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most* extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.
