original battery

Hi guys

Good morning

I'm new here and new with MacBook too.

My MacBook Pro 2020, Intel i5, 13 inch, four thunderbolt 3 won't charge the battery.

I have been googling around to find the original part number or something which I can trust on to buy a new one and replace it myself. But I didn't succeed.

Can anyone tell me the correct specifications for the battery I need to buy?

Thanks everybody, have a great Saturday

If your battery is truly in need of replacing:

Apple does not sell batteries. You get an original Apple battery by having Apple do a battery service. The few aftermarket batteries are never as good as Apple's.

All Retina Macbook Pros have batteries that are GLUED to the underside of the deck. Removing them requires toxic, flammable solvents that can kill. Using the solvents requires special ventilation and protective clothing. Even with these precautions, the removal process can damage other components if not done exactly right.

You can get an estimate and begin the process of an official Apple battery service by starting here:

Mac Repair & Service - Apple Support

It is often cheaper than having even an Apple Authorized Service Provider do the work. NOTE: the service cannot be done in-store in most locations. They are sent to a regional repair/refurbishment center.
