Mute option on airpods pro

I've tried everything, but I can't seem to find a way to mute or unmute an ongoing call. When working remotely, I have to hold my phone the entire time to participate in Zoom meetings or MS Teams calls. It's a common issue we all face - during a long meeting, you might decide to make some coffee or do the dishes. But if a colleague asks you a question, you have to sprint back to your desk to unmute and respond. It's frustrating to say the least.
