How to delete a mail account when the option “Delete account doesn’t appear?

Well, you would have to determine the reason “Delete Account” doesn’t appear. That reason will depend on the particular account. For example, if you’re talking about iCloud email, “Delete Account” would make no sense. Instead, you would simply stop using the Mail function.
It is not a iCloud account, but one on a server used by a nonprofit agricultural “.org”, with which I volunteer. I tried setting it up with the “other” and advanced options, it made an account that lacked that “delete account” option.
I inactivated it because it couldn’t send or receive any emails. But now it defies deletion- very frustrating.
