charge to full now missing macbook pro 2019

I have the Macbook Pro 2019 running Ventura 13.2 and I have never had the charge to "Charge to Full Now" option from the battery menu. Why can't I have this option? I've been sitting here all day waiting for the dang thing to charge so I can leave the house. It's so annoying that I can't control how my computer charges like in the old days. I don't understand how they thought this was a wanted feature. I'd like to have the flexibility. What's up? (Just FYI, I've the Optimized Battery deselected)

I have Ventura 13.2.1 on a Late 2018 15" MBP and it does the same thing on a brand new battery that I had installed by Apple back in mid-January.

Initially I did see the "Charge to Full Now" option, but then it disappeared. Didn't seem to correlate with the update last month.

Then I found that if I enabled the battery longevity feature as well, it would regularly not charge past 32% and - again - presented NO "Charge to Full Now" option.

I looked around various discussion threads but only found a bunch of useless advice (you know: from Level 10 folks who don't actually answer the question you asked, or just advise you to reset everything in sight without actually troubleshooting anything or passing along any actual advanced knowledge).

The feature is buggy as ****, the only solution I found was to just disable it (though Apple certainly plays games making it hard to find: I guess that's one way to push off those battery warrantee claims!)

So that's what I did. If you don't feel you need the feature, I'd advise you do that same. No more screwing around with it. (This really applies to a lot of Apple features that are not well thought-out, poorly-implemented, or buggy).

Wish I had a better answer for you, but the support on this is, well, you know...
