apple ebook p

I just downloaded the book ”The Storyteller” by Jodi Picoult. I immediately noticed that its interface was strange, in that it was an endless scroll with none of the usual aids, e.g., bookmark capability, text-size adjustment, etc. I contacted what I first assumed would be Apple support, stated my problem after which I was asked if there was anything I wished to add before they turned my case over to “experts”, but actually was just a lead-in to “Just Answer” for a buck ($1) scam.

I didn’t think my problem would require a Ph.D candidate. Anyway…

I’m hoping someone hear can offer some “free” advice or direct me to actual APPLE support.
