I’ve lost my AirPods

"I’ve lost my AirPods: I’ve lost my AirPods and they give me no location. When I click the play notification sound is in a permanent load, and won’t let me hit directions. Are they permanently gone?"

If Find My was enabled with these, then note that the local shown is based off of the last time the device they were connected to that itself was connected to the internet. If nosy, then you're just not going to see them. This is because AirPods are not assigned their own IP Address.
