If the password is not known and the hint—if specified—does not assist with recall of the password, or maybe other passwords created around the same time and saved in Keychain, the contents of the note will remain unavailable. There is no back door, no bypass, no workaround, no reset. Either you know the password and can decrypt the data, or the data will remain inaccessible.
