Cannot activate weather notifications in iOS 16

Recently my weather notifications have stopped working for no apparent reason.

I’m in Manchester, England and so they are supported. However when I go to the notification settings there is a message that says, Notifications aren’t supported for the locations in your list.

I just use current location, have Always enabled for location, all notification settings on, have allowed Tine Sensitive notifications in my Focus, have deleted and reinstalled the app. every now and then it will randomly work and works just fine on my Mac.

Really at a loss and would appreciate any advice please.

Hey Paul Roberts1,

Let's try toggling your location settings by disabling it and then enabling it again. To do this, go to Settings > Location Services.

If the issue persists, also try deleting the Weather app and then download it again:

Delete built-in Apple apps from the Home Screen on your iOS 14 or later or iPadOS device or Apple Watch

Delete a built-in app from your device

1. On your iOS or iPadOS device, touch and hold the app.
2. Tap Remove App from the shortcut menu.
3. Tap Delete App from the submenu.

Restore a built-in app that you deleted

1. On your iOS or iPadOS device, go to the App Store.
2. Search for the app. Make sure that you use the exact name of the app.
3. Tap the Redownload button .
4. Wait for the app to restore, then open it from your Home Screen.
If you have an Apple Watch, restoring an app to your iPhone also restores that app to your Apple Watch.

Let us know how it goes!

Best regards.
