iPhone 14 Pro Max front camera

Hi,

I recently updated my phone to the new iPhone 14 pro max from a IPhone 12 Pro Max. I noticed that when I take a selfie on the front camera the picture will look amazing on the screen but when I go to the camera roll, the picture looks fine for like 3 seconds and then it auto adjusts to very sharp, grainy, the color is all off… it just makes the picture look completely different and ugly. Is there a way to stop this from happening? I’ve literally tried messing around with all the settings but it’s still happening and I’m beyond frustrated. Is anyone else having this issue? Please help.

Hello andreea195,

It's hard to say if this is expected behavior or not, since you are comparing the photos to ones you took with a different device. This article gives some great information about making your photos & videos look their best: Take great photos and videos - Apple Support.

If you feel the camera in your iPhone is having some hardware or software issues, it may be helpful to have it examined at an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider near you.

If you have the ability to test with another iPhone 14 that belongs to a friend or family member, that may also help you figure out if there is an issue there or not.

We hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist with anything else at all. Take care.
