Another Uconnect issue

I currently have a 2019 ram with Uconnect 4. Half the time Uconnect recognizes the phone and half the time it does not even though my iPhone 13 Pro Max (also had this same issue with previous iPhones) always shows connected to Uconnect in Bluetooth settings. When it does connect it only connects for making and receiving calls/texts but almost never connects to media. I have to manually connect the media to my phone thru the vehicles voice system other than the once every hundred times it actually connects on its own. Anyone know what is going on? I didn’t find any other posts with this specific issue.

"Connect using Bluetooth

  1. Restart your device.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, and turn off Bluetooth. Wait for about 5 seconds, then turn Bluetooth back on.
  3. Check the manual that came with your car for more information on how to pair with a Bluetooth device. Most cars require a phone setup on the car display. 
  4. If you've connected multiple phones to your car stereo, try renaming your device: Go to Settings > General > About > Name, and type a new name. Then try connecting again.
  5. Update your device.
  6. Make sure that your stereo is using the latest firmware from the car manufacturer. Check your car's manual for more information."


Additionally, the RAM website mentions "Select Uconnect 4 systems (those with a 7-inch, 8.4-inch or 12-inch touchscreen) also include Apple CarPlay support or Android Auto integration" RAM BRAND APPLE CARPLAY® AND ANDROID AUTO FAQ
