iPhone 13 Pro Max 0.5x camera stopped working?

My iPhone 13 pro rear camera has stopped working properly and it is telling me the camera is now not a genuine part??

The phone has not been opened or tampered with and has always had a protective cover.

I have restarted the phone, cleaned lenses, on the latest OS but it appears when using the camera the 0.5x is not available?

it also appears the macro lens is not working either??

looking online it looks like I am not the only one?

the settings area is also now telling me the camera is not genuine??

Is the hardware faulty or is it the software??

Looking at this page about the message you've received, About genuine iPhone cameras - Apple Support,

this is shown at the end of the page:

You will see an Unknown Part message if the camera installation is incomplete or if the camera:

* Was replaced with a nongenuine camera

* Was already used or installed in another iPhone

* Isn't functioning as expected

This message doesn't affect your ability to use your iPhone or access your camera.

Since the camera is actually not functioning, then this is most likely a hardware issue. You can use this page for information on obtaining service for your iPhone. Having a technician look at your iPhone would be the best next step.
