Send receipt for one person option now missing

My friends send receipt option is now missing and the iMessage is sending as a text, does this mean they have blocked me on their iPhone?

You will never know when someone blocks you. You can only make wild guesses. The situation that you are in does not even closely suggest that you are blocked.

It could mean that your friend has disabled iMessages, or doesn't have data to receive iMessages right now.

You can never see if someone has blocked you. Your messages, whether they are iMessages or normal Texts, will be sent from you no matter what - but they will never show up at the recipient's place.
