How can I force a firmware update on my my first gen pros?
AirPods Pro
Hello Jimison110,
There is no way to "force" or manually install a firmware update on AirPods. It's just something that happens automatically in the background. You can check in Settings > Bluetooth > info button next to the AirPods to see if the firmware version is already current. At this time, the current firmware version for AirPods Pro (1st generation) is 5B59.
If the AirPods are on a different version, then the way to get them to update is to have them connected to a charger and near your iPhone. The best time to get them to update for most people, is at night when they're sleeping and the phone isn't being used for an extended period of time.
