Screen

Hello,

My IP 11 — How to explain this??

My screen tends to “fall down”. Instead of being in portrait upright full screen, it disappears to 1/2 of what it should be. The top then has like a chevron symbol? I then tap the screen and or turn phone off.

Very bizarre to explain. This phone is only 2 years old, bought new from Verizon store.

Should I visit the store and have a tech look at it? Doing this more often.

Thank you Apple Village! 👍🏻

Does the screen in its ‘1/2 of what it should be” mode, look like the image below?

If the screen looks like in the image above (note the chevron symbol or Up Arrow), then you are accidentally activating the Reachability feature of the iPhone. The purpose of this feature is that it makes reaching and tapping on the farthest top points of the screen easier. This feature can be activated by Pulling Down from the bottom of the screen. You can then tap on the Up Arrow (Chevron) to return it back to full screen.

If you continue to accidentally activate this feature and want to disable it, then open Settings ➡️ Accessibility ➡️ Touch ➡️ Reachability: Set this switch to OFF.

Axel, yes exactly as you explained. I do tap the symbol, chevron, and it pops back up. So annoying, as it’s happening more.

That swiping down phone from upper right is sensitive I guess. This phone has so many “hidden” features that I’m still discovering. I’m old school and not very tech savvy, so your prompt reply is much appreciated.

I will turn off as you indicated, so this stops. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Can’t thank you enough!!😃
