I can’t seem to get my Voice Memos to be working when I send a text. Not the dictation function, but I would like to be sending my voice in the message. It hasn’t been working for a while and now that I have Google trying to figure out how to do it nothing is giving the answer! Help please

Hi. Now that there are separate dictate and voice memo functions, my voice memo function (which is the microphone icon inside of the text box) is not allowing me to record my voice at all. The dictation function (which is the bottom right grey round microphone) works. I would like BOTH functions to work: dictation and voice memos. I googled how to fix it to no avail. Any ideas?
