Emptying trash never completes

Like all of you (aside from I'm on Ventura 13.2.1) the trash never finishes emptying. I dread this. I hate having to put something in the trash.

Apple, what the heck are you doing? Nothing apparently.

You've incrementally made MacOS a nauseating experience.

I purchased a new M2 MacBook Pro thinking my computing life would have the ZOOMIES, like my dog after a long walk in the snow.....But no, this computer does somethings fast but it is so slow at the routine tasks like EMPTYING THE TRASH.

Stop worrying so much about all the daunting security BS and fix the routine tasks so I don't regret spending another 4 grand on one of your machines.

Prior to this I stayed with Catalina because it just worked. Mojave was pretty good too, but I stayed away from Big Sur and Monterey because of all the things wrong with them I read about.

Seriously, empty trash. Who knew?

Anybody else with me on this? Can I get a witness?

What kinds of files? Images, Pages docs, backup files from old Time Machine drives. Why would it matter? Time is time and these deletions take forever. Never in my 40+ years on Macs has emptying the trash taken so long.

Do you have some ideas?

Well and with Respect which is genuine

40 Years using OS X, macOS and still trying to Prune Snap Shots from the Time Machine Backup Drive ?

The user no doubt is very aware that things have changed over the years regarding Time Machine Utility

The Drive itself, used in TM Backup is Marked as READ ONLY

Yes, the User may have grabbed 1 Snap Shot or 2 or 3 or more and put in the Trash

But, they will not Delete not matter how hard you try.

Added, doing so may or may not Corrupt or Compromise the Index files on the Drive.

Should that happen and hopefully not, ALL the Snap Shots could be rendered Useless

Should that occur, the only option is to Reformat the Drive and start a New Regime from Scratch

I also have problem with several folders in my Bin which will not delete no matter what I do. I can not find their origin or take them back out of the Bin to restore them to their 'original' place. Other new items consigned to the trash delete as usual. MacBook Pro M1 14 in, Venturs 13.2.1.

Any way out of this to have my Bin completely empty. Etrecheck says nothing amiss.

Advice please.
