Studio Display advice

I am considering buying a Mac Mini with the Studio Display as I need the 27inch display and they now only do 23 inch display. I see from comments that the Studio Display can be used with a MacBook Pro 13inch 2017 or later which mine is. Would it make sense to not buy the Mac Mini? If I did I would trade in the MacBook as I do not use it so much as the desktop

The Mac mini would be an ideal pair with the Studio Display. As for trading in the MacBook, you’ll get a better price if you sell it yourself (assuming it’s even trade able).
