Delete an unused, old Apple ID

I have seemed to made an old apple ID account in the past using my private email. I do not have any details of that, so I do not have a recovery key, I do not have a password. Now, years later, I have a need for an Apple ID again, which I prefer to have in my private email, and not an email for just this occasion (which I have at the moment). I therefore want to retrieve my old account, or, delete the old account. Is this possible? I know the apple ID linked to my email is not in use.
