Every time I connect my AirPods to any sound transmitting app or tab, in any device, the sound lags and the quality turns horrible. I already tried charging them, and clicking the “forget device”, but it didn't work. I also tried seeing if the devices I tried the AirPods on needed any update, and all of them were up-to-date. What can I do?

You’ve done some great troubleshooting so far with your AirPods. You may also want to reset and connect your AirPods again before testing the audio quality: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro.
If the issue continues, check for any nearby sources of wireless interference that could be causing an issue: If the sound from your wireless headphones cuts out or is distorted.
