Numbers auto changes
I want a thin column where I type JAN, FEB, MAR but it auto changes to spelling the full month.
Can this be stopped?

Click on the top of the column (A/B/C/etc.) to highlight the entire column. Under Inspector (view/show inspector), click on cell/data format/and set the preferred date format. If you choose a smaller format, you can resize the entire column.

Hi billy,
Format the column as Text, then Numbers will not change the entries to the full month.
Alternatively, type an apostrophe first, as in 'JAN. Numbers will treat entries as Text.
Regards,
Ian.
