Ventura 13.2.1 update causes tons of random problems

I'm using MacOS Ventura in 13.2.1 version (the latest update at the time of writing this post) and I'm experiencing tons of weird stuff happening:

  1. VLC crashes when I remove elements from the library
  2. Pages freaks out, starts to randomly select things, becomes unresponsive
  3. My whole system froze couple of times when I tried to open lauchpad
  4. Option+ drivers for Logitech mouse can't load sometimes at all, I have reopen the application manually
  5. Files don't want to open when i double click on them. Example -- the video file (mp4) that normaly would open without an issue, now give me "Can't open the file" error, but then I right click and choose open, or open from an application, it opens fine.

None of these situations were happening before the last update.

These are just some examples, so whatever was done in this update is messing up the system completely. Does anyone else reports a list of strange behaviors in the latest OS?

I always recommended to shutdown and restart the new macOS more than once has a way for settling in the code and sorting random oddities...

For anomalies a safeboot will typically sort issues....

However —for your plethora of issue I might be inclined to download the full installer and reinstall the macOS on top of your existing macOS and see if it brings it back to normal.

or

the full installer from the Terminal.app you can see the full list here copy and paste:

softwareupdate --list-full-installers

for example copy and paste:

sudo softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 13.2.1

when complete it will be sitting in your Applications folder, you launch it from there like and other application to reinstall
