How to turn off find my on certain devices?

It is turned “off” from within Settings on each physical device.


HOWEVER, be aware disabling it has serious negative security implications.


It does NOT make your device any more or less “trackable by others” if that is your concern ???

That setting to share location w/ Family members is configured at:


Settings -> iCloud [name] -> Family Sharing -> [pick yourself] -> Location Sharing.


Additionally, if you have multiple mobile devices on a particular AppleID, you can select which one “sends” your location to others under Settings -> FindMy -> My Location.


And repeating for emphasis: DON’T turn “off” FindMy !!!
