Two factor authentication code sent to wrong number

It sends my two-factor verification to my son's number instead of mine, because he has an iPhone and I don't. Why is that a good idea? How do i change that?

That generally indicates that you are sharing the same AppleID.


That’s BAD.


And 2FA codes are just the “tip of the iceberg.”


Setup separate AppleIDs for each individual.


Make sure that each family member has a unique Apple ID - Apple Support
