Error #2000 while watching twitch streams

I am getting the following error while watching twitch streams on Safari. This happens with random streams at random times, when it happens refreshing the window (command + R) does not fix the error, I have to click on the "click here to reload player" button several times (could be 2 to 10+ times) to fix the error and watch the stream.

The error only happens when using Safari, if I use Edge, Chrome, or Brave browsers this error never happens.

I do not use VPN, extensions, or adblocker in Safari.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 13.2

Hey there danjua,

If you have not already done so, start by cleaning the browsing history in Safari on your Mac. If you need help with those steps, follow the guidance on this page: Clear your browsing history in Safari on Mac - Apple Support.

1. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose History > Clear History, then click the pop-up menu.

2. Choose how far back you want your browsing history cleared.

Next, follow these steps to clear the cookies in Safari on your Mac as well: Clear cookies in Safari on Mac - Apple Support. Once these have been cleared from Safari, close all the running apps on your Mac, (by following these steps - Quit apps on Mac - Apple Support) then Shut down and restart your Mac - Apple Support.

Once the Mac is back up and running, test to see if you still have the same issues in Safari.
