By "loose" do you mean that the cable won't stay in? If so, it's likely that there's something in the port. Under a bright light, with a magnifier, if you have one, use a non-conductive tool such as a wooden toothpick to clean out any pocket lint or other debris that may have gotten mashed into the port. Some of it may have gotten stuck all the way in the back. It's also astonishing how much crud can get lodged there.

My brother had the same problem. I cleaned out the port in front of him and showed him the pile of lint. He was amazed.
