Mac that will run SketchUp and Autocad

I’m looking to get a new MacBook as I currently have the MacBook Air 2017 and it is struggling to run large models on SketchUp & won’t open Layout. I also have to close every other app before starting any software, which isn’t ideal.

I was looking at the MacBook Air m2 chip but I have no idea what I’m looking for. I need something that is going to last me a while but needs to be able to run SketchUp, Autocad and Adobe.

Alot of people are advising me to go to a windows laptop but as I’ve always had a Mac I’m not sure whether to risk the change.

Can anyone advise me on what to get/look at? As budget friendly as possible :)
