ios 16 airprint

I’m running IOS 16.3.1 - 6th generation iPad won’t print correctly.

Printer is found successfully but only the first couple of inches print then the everything hangs. I have restarted the iPad several times - same issue. I can successfully print from my iMac - so it’s not the printer.

Printing used to work well… seems like an IOS 16 bug.

Check to see if your printer itself has software update available from the Printer manufacturer.

Printer software updates can sometimes be triggered from the printers front-panel controls, an embedded web-server - or via a Mac or Windows PC software utility.

Speaking of personal experience, some AirPrint printers will require occasional software updates to remain fully usable with iOS/iPadOS16.x.

Thanks - I will try that but I’m doubtful

My other IOS 16.3.1 device (iPhone SE 2020) prints fine.

My iPad starts printing correctly - then stops about 2” into the job - it’s like the information in the printer queue is being ignored or deleted - and there’s no end of job indication. I have to cancel manually.

I also can’t post to this forum from my iPad?!?!
