I just received my M2 Mac Mini and was hoping to use my 2017 intel IMac as a display and now I learning that is impossible. Any help?

You can not use an iMac as a display for a new Mac mini.

You can use most any aftermarket external display with the new Mac mini.
You can return the M2 for a full refund or buy a new monitor. The iMac give to charity or a relative/friend/subordinate (boss/enemy if it’s slow/sluggish/cranky). Your choice.
