Of course we can always use other browsers, but it's not really the simplest to try and use Safari, yet always having to open a second browser, in order to access other sites, some of which are those we use daily.
Not sure why Apple can't make its browser at least as compatible with all sites as other browsers apparently are able to do, makes no sense. The beauty, & selling point of Apple products is the "seamless integration" of their devices & software. Well, it's hardly "seamless" when we're forced to use different browsers..
Facebook on my Macbook Pro is basically dysfunctional. I'll see a post with 186 comments, see two, click to see more, and get a window that shows nothing! Messages don't open, and all kinds of other glitches... This has been an ongoing problem for years now. We're supposed keep a second browser open, just for a few sites, because Apple's developers & programmers just can't figure out how to make Safari do what other browsers can, really?
Hey there Hoagy1,

Best!
I can't believe how buggy Safari's been acting today, for some reason, and not just on Facebook, although I just logged onto FB, clicked on my own post, and instead of opening it, I was taken to another site completely!! HUH?
That was the weirdest thing, and when I signed in here, it said I'm signing in on a new device, did I trust this device (the same iMac I've been using for the past four years), and then asked if I trust this browser, yes, Apple's own browser, Safari. I wonder, should I? smh
Sometimes the easiest solution to the issue of accessing difficult sites is to simply use a different browser such as Firefox.
It won’t let me log in to Facebook same way I had on before
