Google Maps error in Safari 16.3 (Different to old issues)

Hi there,

It seems to only occur when Globe view is selected.

Issue occurs when trying to switch from default view to satellite layers. This action causes the website to crash and go to a page with the message 'a problem repeatedly occurred with....https://www.google.com/maps...." and a reload button.

Reloading doesn't fix the issue.

Have tried troubleshooting as with previously discussed issues. Experimental features, extensions and graphics switching all have no effect on the issue.

rMBP mid 2015

OS 12.6.3

Safari 16.3

Any ideas?

Hey sammydanger,

You completed some great steps to try to resolve the issue you're having with that website. The following guide has some additional steps that may help to resolve this: If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected - Apple Support

If the behavior continues and it only happens with this website, you may want to reach out to Google Support to look into this more with you: Google Maps Help
