You can find your deleted messages in Recently Deleted in the Messages app. Open the Messages app and tap Edit in the top right corner and select "Show Recently Deleted"
You can mark the messages you want back to the inbox, and tap Recover. Messages that have been deleted are removed and deleted permanently from Recently Deleted after 30-40 days.
