Wake up alarm does not go off when set after midnight

It is not possible to set alarm to the same day morning when the time passed midnight. I have missed several appointments because of this failure.

Usually I do not wish to have alarm on the weekends but there might be exceptions, so the alarm is set only for weekdays, and I change it occasionally before going to sleep. I do not use “Other” alarms as the sound is too loud.

Please advise or change this feature.

Hi Bo9723,

Thanks for connecting with Apple Support Communities.

You can set alarms for any time of day and have them repeat on one or more days of the week, when using the Clock app, using these steps:

"Set a regular alarm

You can set regular alarms for any time, including one for the time you want to wake up. A regular alarm is unrelated to any sleep schedule.

  1. Tap Alarm, then tap the Add button.
  2. Set the time, then choose any of the following options:
    • Repeat: Choose the days of the week.
    • Label: Give the alarm a name, like “Water the plants.”
    • Sound: Choose a vibration, song, or ringtone.
    • Snooze: Give yourself a few more minutes of sleep.

3. Tap Save.

To change the alarm, tap Edit at the top left, then tap the alarm time.

If the Clock app is not working as expected, the following steps may be able to help resolve the issue:

Restart your iPhone. This may seem like a simple step to take but can often resolve several issues.

  1. "Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.

The volume button is located on the left side of the device, and the side button is located on the right

2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.

3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo."

Update your iPhone. Completing this step ensures that your device has the latest fixes. (Secure your data with a backup)

We hope this helps.

Take care.
