My iPad can't print since last update

I use my phone and IPad regularly to print. Since my last update, I get “gathering information” and it doesn’t print. iPhone 12 as well as IPad mini 4. Worked fine before update.

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand you're unable to print from your iPhone and iPad since the update. The iPhone and the printer must be on the same Wi-Fi network. You may want to turn your printer, iPhone, and iPad off and back on again. If that doesn't help, try disconnecting it from your Wi-Fi network and connecting it again. You'll likely need to refer to your printer manual for instructions since every printer is different. You may want to check if you have documents in the queue and cancel them in order to try again. This article explains how: Print from iPhone.


"See the status of a print job

Open the App Switcher, then tap Print Center.

The badge on the icon shows how many documents are in the queue.

To cancel a print job, select it in Print Center, then tap Cancel Printing.

Print a document

Tap the Share buttonthe More button, or the Reply button (depending on the app you’re using), then tap Print. (Swipe up if you don’t see Print.)"
