Download Mac OS from windows pc
How to download os from a non max computer. My mac was wiped clean so there’s no operating system so I’m trying to reinstall os from usb from a dell windows laptop

While it is technically possible to download the macOS installer file using a Windows PC, you cannot do anything with it once downloaded.
You need to boot your Mac into Internet recovery mode. It must be connected to the Internet in order to do that.
Hold down the Command-Option-R keys together when you turn on your Mac. Keep holding them until you see the Mac begin to boot.
