cannot change country/region

why can't i change my country/region. it is set to US but i don't live in the US and every time i go to change it a message "You cannot change the storefront information for your account at this time.

Changing Country/Region of Apple ID:


Zero Out your Balance:

To zero-out your Apple Account balance, either (A.)call Apple, requesting that the Apple Rep zeros it out, or (B.)purchase something for more than what is left in your Apple Account balance, using the primary method of payment to payment to pay the rest off.

Apple Support Contact Info:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there as necessary
  • Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic. And that makes sense because many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
