Files downloaded or moved to Downloads folder are immediately moved to Trash

As in the title. I assume there is a setting somewhere that I am missing. Anyone know?

Thank you!

The only way I can think of that would make this happen is if somehow a Folder Action had been assigned to the Downloads folder....

Press Command-space to open Spotlight, and start typing

Folder Act

to find and launch the Folder Actions Setup utility.

Does the Downloads folder appear on the list of affected folders? If so, remove it by pressing "-" or disable the Folder Action by unchecking its box.
