Does push email not work with Gmail anymore on ios 16.3.1? Using the apple mail app

add a gmail to mail on iphone 13 I couldn't add my Gmail account to my iPhone 13 Mail running iOS 16 latest version a few weeks ago. This problem also occurs with friends around me who use iPhones. This is very inconvenient because Google calendar and contacts do not sync on the iphone.

I don’t believe push ever worked with gmail. I’ve used gmail for many years, and have checked this often (as I know push works for iCloud mail).

Weird. Mine is set up like that also and would always push instantly until I updated software

I found out what it was. Ill have to play around it. Maybe it was something that just kept carrying over from all my old phones. When I would transfer the data. And somehow got deleted.
