Is there a way to use a remote to present Keynote on my iPad Pro? And if so, what remote do I need?

Keynote remote I have an iPad and iPhone, and have successfully paired them to use my iPhone as a remote control for a Keynote presentation on the iPad. Good. However, is there a way to use a run-of-the-mill $20 remote as a remote? Use that instead of the iPhone. In short, if I preferred to use a generic remote to control a Keynote presentation on iPad, is that possible? Thanks.

Using iPhone as a remote in keynote Allow remote control option does not appear to be present in newest version of Keynote. It is not where it has been before on either my iPad or iPhone. Does anyone have a solution?

presentation remote for keynote on ipad I recently obtained one of the new M2 iPad Pros. I work as a corporate trainer and teach college classes; thus, I do a lot of presenting, sometimes in collaborative settings. I am able to use my presenter remote to control PowerPoint, but the presenter will not control Keynote. I am aware of how to use my cell phone as a remote, but I don't want to hand off my phone to other presenters. Is there a way to use a standard presentation remote with Keynote?

There are specialized presentation clickers with bluetooth connectivity, some compatible with Keynote, if the presenter wants a hand controller.
