Where can I buy a new AirPort Time Capsule and how much are they?

I got another license update from Apple for iCloud. I refuse to continue to sign things that I don’t understand from dishonest companies. So, I am told I can use Time Machine as a backup. But Apple doesn’t make any external backups or do they? Thanks in advance.

Please Apple can you make Time Capsules again? Hi, I am so tired of the poor backup solutions offered out there! I never understood why Apple stopped making such a great product as the Time Capsule. A brilliant product offering storage + a private network. I tried to replace my 2 time capsules (3TB each) by a Synology DS220+ 2x6TB… What a disaster!! My conclusion is: it is not really compatible with Apple and is so tiresome to use and set. Regularly, I lose the connection as for some reasons it changes its IP address. Many comments and issues reported on Reddit and other Synology help platforms but their products are just not great for apple users. Twice already my Synology 6TB drive is full (raid1)… Time Machine is supposed to erase older backups but apparently it is not working on Synology. Backups size of both mac/mac book pro are 600GB + 750GB. So, luckily I still had a 3TB time capsule. My other capsule had a dead HD, so I ordered a new HD and replaced it thanks to a YouTube video!! I am not at all an IT person but I was really motivated!! Got my 2 time capsules still working now and my apple airports too. So please, Apple can you come up with a new Apple friendly and efficient backup solution for Apple users? I can assure you, I am not the only one missing these Apple Capsules…

Time to replace my Time Capsule. What are my best options? Loved the functionality of Time Capsule. All our Apple equipment backs up to it. iPad and iPhones are backed up to our Macs and those automatically back up to Time Capsule. Plus it is also a fantastic router. Unfortunately it is getting a bit long in the tooth and the hard drive is starting to make noise. I need a solution before it stops working. Options???

Can't access older Time Capsule back-ups I can't access older back-ups on my MacBook Air than one from about three weeks ago, even though it (correctly) says I've been backing up since I got it in 2021. (Under Time Machine settings, it has my Airport Time Capsule "1.65TB available Backups: 6/7/21, 1:45 PM-4/18/23, 8:29 AM") The April 18 back-up is the only one I can access, none of the older ones. How do I get the Time Capsule to show me all the back-ups back to 6/7/21? Nothing I've tried will do it.

Apple discontinued the Time Capsule about five years ago, and no they don't manufacture backup drives either. To learn how to use Time Machine please read Back up your files with Time Machine on Mac - Apple Support.
