The iPhone 6 can be updated to iOS 12.5.7.
The iPhone 6S can be updated to iOS 15.7.3.
Neither can be updated to iOS 14.

Go to Settings>General>Software Update.
You will be offered the latest version available for your device.
If it is a 6 plus, that is 12.5.7. That device can’t run anything higher.

If you have an iPhone 6S, see the instructions from Niel above.
If your device is running iOS 12.5.7, it is not an iPhone an 6S.
Even if your iPhone 6 could support iOS 14......it can't.....iOS 14 is no longer available anyway.
