Deleted MacintoshHD on accidend

I was trying to downgrade my Macbook Air. Then, while I’m in Disk Utility, I accidently deleted MacintoshHd. Then, every time I try to turn on my Macbook, it showed the question mark folder. Is there anyway I could fix this without having to go to an Apple Store?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.7

You certainly need to reinstall macOS, but you may need to reformat the disk first. The uncertainty lies in whether the disk was formatted for a recent operating system or not. Earlier macOS versions do not recognize that format.

If this doesn't make any sense to you right now that's ok. Just write back if you get stuck attempting to reinstall macOS.

You did not ask but downgrading is generally inadvisable...
