Unable to find printer driver for Samsung CLP-315W Color Laser Printer

The product support site says, "Unable to find driver." Does this mean that I won't be able to use the used printer I purchased?

I have a MacBook Air (2017) with MAC OS Monterey version 12.6.3. I just bought a used printer, a Samsung CLP-315W Color Laser Printer (2008.).

Hi,

If a compatible driver cannot be found, a discussion Samsung ML-1860 and latest MacOS could perhaps be of interest in this context. The workaround (for another model) described by Matti Haveri is intended to eliminate a problem with a downloaded package not opening/installing under the latest operating system versions. Perhaps worth a try. Under Samsung Printer Drivers v2.6 for OS X, the article Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support lists a Samsung CLP-310 Series version 1.07.01 driver. This would be experimental. It may or may not work.

Before testing anything, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files. Software conflicts cannot be ruled out.

You may have to reset the printing system between tests. See the following articles for details:
