System data takes 300GB of my total 500GB Mac SSD

Is there a way to fix it? Isn't it weird that we can't control this, all I see on the blog pages are expensive clean my mac kinda apps.

I hope there is a way to fix it. It wasn't like this before 1-3 week but suddenly "system datas" took all of my space (300GB) . This is so annoying.

Thank you

Download one of the free Apps mentioned in this article. when you run one, it will spend several minutes finding the BIGGEST files you have, no matter where they are. Once they are identified, what you keep and what you toss is complete up to you, as it should be.
