Mac Mini M2 Pro won't bluetooth pair to iPhone 14 Pro

I have a new Mac Mini M2 Pro that won't bluetooth pair with my iPhone 14 Pro. Keep getting the "Pairing Unsuccessful" "Mac Mini is not supported".

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16.3.1

Mac Mini M2 Pro, Ventura 13.2.1

Mac mini, macOS 13.2

Ok, so learning curve on my part. Apparently Bluetooth pairing is not needed. What I was looking to be able to do is "continuity" features to use my iPhone as a webcam with Facetime on the Mac Mini. I found a post that suggested something that I think is pretty weird, but it worked. Why on earth would you need to have your phone in landscape mode to initially connect? That just doesn't make any sense and is supposedly a "security" feature.

Anyway, rotated my iPhone to landscape and it immediately connected.
