USB C not working

I have a new iPad mini 6 that was working fine with a FIIO DAC, but after upgrading to the new iPad OS, it does not recognize the DAC. The DAC works fine on my iPhone mini 13 using lightning port. It also works fine on my older iPad Pro with the lightning port on iOS 16.3.1. So definitely related to the usb c support.

Figured it out - need to go to Touch ID and pass code and turn on the accessories button AND turn device off and then on again.
