Weather maps
Rectangular areas of maps in the Weather app remain gray, showing no weather, while the timeline progresses. Zooming out (a lot) rectifies the problem, but sacrifices detail.

It sounds like you may be having some issues loading weather maps. This could be related to the network you are connected to at the time. You could try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network or moving to a different location to see if the behavior improves.
